What can I expect?

You do not enter the water and will be fully dressed, in your comfy clothes, with layers so you stay cosy. You’ll be supported onto your float (the size of a double mattress) by one of our team who is in the water. They’ll hold the float steady on the side of the pool whilst you get yourself on. Once you’re ready the float will be pushed out into the water. I welcome you to bring a blanket and pillow. Eye masks are provided for optional use to support withdrawal of the senses. Our support team will be on hand throughout the soundbath if you need to re-adjust or exit the float for any reason.
Lauren , founder of Fellbeing, is a qualified Yoga Teacher and Sound Healing Practitioner. She’ll begin with a short guided meditation before transitioning into playing the gongs, crystal singing bowls and chimes. These instruments have been selected due to the healing nature of their frequencies and sounds which slow down brain wave state, allowing participants to access a deep state of relaxation between wakefulness and sleep, known as Theta state. Hear a little taster here. The soundbath will last for around 1 hour. You’ll then be supported by our team to alight from the floats.

Tickets are £36 per person

What should I wear?

Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes. You will be fully clothed for the soundbath. Layers are best so that you can take on/off as needed to be a comfortable temperature. I recommend wearing warm socks.
What do I need to bring?

I welcome you to bring a blanket and, pillow. Eye masks are provided but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. You can bring a water bottle with you onto the float.
I haven’t known anyone to fall in, but I suggest bringing a spare change of clothes and towel (just in case!).

Safety - Who can attend?

The pool is 3 metres deep so you MUST be able to swim. The pool is heated. There are 2 lifeguards onsite during the event.
Children aged 12 and over may attend if accompanied by an adult. I trust you to use your discretion as to whether your child is of a maturity to respect the relaxed and tranquil nature of the event, so as not to disturb the experience of others.

Sound healing is not recommended for those with a pacemaker, sound induced epilepsy or severe mental health conditions.

A Cave Sound Meditation is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience combining the calming power of live instrumental sound with the unique stillness and atmosphere of the Cave environment. Surrounded by ancient rock formations deep beneath the earth, the Cave offers a peaceful and grounding setting to slow down and reconnect with nature.

What can I expect?

We meet outside The Old Sawmill Cafe in Clapham. This is the start of the scenic 1.3 mile undulating gravel nature trail that leads to the cave entrance. The walk will take approximately 40 minutes and Lauren will provide prompts and invitations to soak up the beauty of the natural surroundings.
The Cave journeys 0.3 miles (0.5km) underground from the entrance. There are two short stooping sections and there are no steps. The passages are well lit with floodlights throughout, illuminating the calcite flows, stalactites and stalagmites. It takes approximately 5 minutes to walk to the part of the Cave where the sound meditation takes place.

Camping chairs will be provided for the sound meditation, as the ground is cold and wet. You are very welcome to bring anything that helps you feel cosy and comfortable, such as a blanket, hot water bottle or neck pillow.

The sound meditation will last approximately 50 minutes. Following the event you may choose to explore the surrounding footpaths or return along the trail. The event time takes into consideration the walk back to the start of the trail (approximately 30 minutes).
