A morning of playful yoga and mindfulness for all ages. From butterfly to tree pose, explore the benefits of yoga in a fun and interactive way. Suitable for complete yoga newbees, no need to touch your toes or stand on your head. We will embrace wobbles, have a giggle and move our bodies in ways that feel good.

The session will include sensory awareness activities designed to help connect with the present moment, the world around you and each other. Including the opportunity to see the much loved Canalside Cafe goats!

This event will take place outside. The cafe is open 9am - 4pm with undercover seating area, serving hot drinks and food.

All events start at 6pm and end at approximately 9pm.

This is an event like no other and an experience not to be missed!

We will meet outside The Old Sawmill Cafe and set off promptly following the scenic 1.3 mile undulating gravel nature trail before arriving at the entrance to the cave. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes and Lauren will provide prompts and invitations to soak up the beauty of the natural surroundings. Following the event you can explore the surrounding footpaths or return via the trail. The event time takes in to consideration the 30 minute walk back to the start of the trail.

The Cave journeys 0.3 miles (0.5km) underground, so we will walk a total of 0.6 miles (1km). There are two short stooping sections within the Cave, and there are no steps. The passages are well lit with floodlights throughout, which illuminates the calcite flows, stalactites and stalagmites.

Please wear suitable footwear for this terrain.

There are toilets available to use at the cave entrance.

Ingleborough Cave can accommodate wheelchair users, providing that the person pushing the chair is physically fit enough to do so safely. Ingleborough Cave have 1 all terrain wheelchair available to pre-book and a manual chair to transfer to at the cave entrance. Please contact Ingleborough Cave directly to see if these are available prior to booking.

The event will go ahead whatever the weather, unless it is unsafe to do so. Please wear appropriate waterproofs for the walk to/from the cave if it's raining.

Camping chairs will be provided for the sound meditation, as the ground is cold and wet. The Cave is a cool 8 degrees centigrade throughout the year, so you must wrap up appropriately. You are welcome to bring what you need to be cosy and comfortable ~ a blanket, hot water bottle, neck pillow. Suitable for Children 12+

A day of gentle, restorative and invigorating wellbeing practises. No prior experience or level of flexibility is necessary!

This will be a welcoming and inclusive day where we can move our bodies, calm our minds, share some food and some laughs.

The aim is not to work up a sweat but to find connection and calm through a sequence of mindful yoga movements (asana).

After sharing a homemade lunch and refreshments we will build a cosy nest, laying or seated, for an afternoon sound meditation (also known as soundbath or sound healing). We begin with a short guided meditation to set the tone before I move into playing the gongs, crystal singing bowls and chimes. The sound of these instruments helps the brain to access a deep state of relaxation known as 'Theta'. This is a restorative state where you can drift off into dream space.

We will end our day together down at Ullswater Lake (a 10 minute drive) where you can swim if you choose or just enjoy the scenery. I am an experienced outdoor swimmer, trained and insured through the Swimming Teachers Association, so you are in safe hands whether you are a regular dipper or you've never tried it before.
