A very exciting workshop collaboration between Emily's aerial yoga and Lauren's magical soundbath.
Enjoy an hour's aerial yoga (all abilities welcome- be in touch with accessibility questions) and then an hour's float held in the yoga hammocks. Bliss!
We are in the Loft at The Health Barn. The Barn is really easy to find, right in the middle of Askham village. The Loft is accessed through the garden, at the back of the building. Please park in the village carpark (for the swimming pool), cross back over, and you'll see the wooden garden gate to get in.
A day of gentle yoga, breathwork practises, yoga nidra and sound bath. Outdoors in the beautiful surroundings of the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trails. Followed by lunch at the Old Sawmill Cafe. No prior experience or level of flexibility is necessary!
This is a day where we can move our bodies with kindness, calm our minds, share some food and some laughs. Our practise will be themed around connection to our essential nature, inspired by the beauty of the natural world around us. There is now lots of research to evidence that yoga and the outdoors has a hugely positive impact on our wellbeing; calming the nervous system, reducing stress, improving our mood, lowering blood pressure and boosting the immune system.
Nurture your mind, body and soul and experience the benefits for yourself by joining me, Lauren, on Saturday 30th August!
Lunch and a drink of your choice is included, provided by the Old Sawmill Cafe. Bookings include access to the nature trail for the day of the event, so you can continue to explore and enjoy the surroundings if you like.
With this special day retreat we honour the seasonal shift into Autumn; a time of transition, release and balance. This is your opportunity to pause, reflect and nourish yourself.
As the vibrancy of summer fades into the gentle quietude of September, Mother Nature invites us to let go of what no longer serves us, take time to be still and ground into the present so that we can move into the season ahead lighter, centred and with increased resilience. Throughout the day you can expect to be guided with care through a blend of traditional yoga practises ; gentle movement (Asana), breath work (Pranayama), mantra, Yoga Nidra and meditation including Soundbath. The day includes a tasty homemade lunch, drinks and cakes to nourish and delight the senses.
Whether you are a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, I look forward to holding space for you to tend to the temple of yourself and honour your own cyclic nature, in alignment with the rythms of the earth.
My approach to yoga is that is can be accessible to anyone with the right guidance and props. There is no one 'right' way to move, only what feels good in your body. I offer variations and support for all bodies.
The cost includes homemade lunch, cakes and refreshments. I provide mats and all the props. You might like to bring your own blanket and/or cushion to get really cosy. Wear comfy clothing, whatever that looks like for you - yoga clothes are whatever you feel comfiest in! Layers are best so you can take on and off as you need.
The session is in the studio upstairs at Westmorland Crossfit. There is disabled access. Free parking available.
Join me for a nurturing three-hour practice woven together to bring you back home to yourself. We'll begin with gentle meditation and breathwork (pranayama), arriving softly in our bodies before moving through a sequence of deeply restorative and yin yoga postures. Each posture will be held for between 2-5 minutes supported by plenty of props to allow the deep fascia network of the body to release, aiding freedom of movement and energy flow. Your physical practise will be accompanied by the harmonising tones of the crystal singing bowls to further support your deep rest and relaxation. In this workshop my offering to you is space to simply be - allow yourself to be supported by the props, sacred sound, silence and slowness.
We'll close with tea and homemade cake — a sweet, grounding way to gently return and reconnect before heading back into your day.

This Winter Solstice day retreat is an opportunity to slow down, soften and restore.
Together we honour the turning of the wheel and the deep stillness of this pivotal point. This is a sacred pause — a invitation to rest, reflect and give thanks as we journey through the darkest day and begin to welcome the returning light.
If we allow it, winter can teach us how to turn inward, to release the weight of the year gone by and root down into the quiet wisdom within. This is your time to gently let go, to be still, and replenish.
You’ll be guided with care through a restful blend of traditional yogic practices, including gentle movement (Asana), breathwork (Pranayama), mantra, Yoga Nidra, meditation and a soothing sound bath.
A nourishing homemade lunch, warm drinks and sweet treats will be served to delight and replenish the senses.
Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or completely new to yoga you are warmly welcomed. I look forward to holding space for you to tend to the temple of yourself, in alignment with the sacred stillness of midwinter.
